Jeffrey A. Beatty
Teacher
Jeff Beatty is a Sixth-grade
Math, Science and Social Studies Teacher at Thomas Harrison Middle School in Harrisonburg,
Virginia. He has 26 years of teaching experience.
Jeff is a Gifted Education Coordinator for Sixth grade, and, as a clinical faculty
trainer, he trains teachers to work with student teachers. He holds the position of an
Adjunct/Clinical Faculty Member for James Madison University, and is a member of the
Virginia Association of Science Teachers. Jeff also trains teachers how to use Mini-Society
to teach entrepreneurship in the classroom.
Jeff has been using CNN Student News daily in his social studies classes since it first
began airing.
Jeff has a B.S. in Middle School Education from Madison College (now James Madison University)
in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
