Bill McCormick

Bill McCormick teaches 12th grade AP
Microeconomics for Richland School District Two in Columbia, South Carolina, and has more than
23 years of classroom experience. Currently, Bill travels among 3 area high schools.
Bill is an adjunct faculty member of Business Administration for Southern Wesleyan University,
currently teaching International Business, Marketing, and Marketing management. In this capacity,
he recently attended the International Council of Canadian Studies summer institute in Ottawa.
Bill has been honored as a National Endowment for the Humanities Scholar, and is a National Geographic
Teacher Consultant. He is on the Curriculum Development and Standards Writing Committees for the
State of South Carolina. Bill was an educational consultant for two high school economics textbooks,
and is a reader for AP Economics. Bill was the South Carolina recipient of State Farm Insurance
Partners in a learning Community award. He is also a technology trainer for teachers.
Bill received his B.A. in Education and M.B.A. from the University of South Carolina. He attained
National Board Certification in 2000.
