Colleen P. Wozniak
Education Associate, School Improvement
Colleen Wozniak is an Education Associate
for School Improvement at the Delaware Department of Education in Dover, Delaware. She has 28
years experience in public education. Her experience includes school administration; instructional
program development and implementation; development and delivery of staff development; strategic and
long-range planning; state and national leadership in instructional technology; and management of
state, and federal programs. Colleen has a background in special education, elementary education
and curriculum and instruction. Currently, she works in School Improvement and Federal Programs
including Title I, Title VI: Innovative Education, Comprehensive School Reform Demonstration Class
Size Reduction and Student Mentoring, and is charge of the State Support System for School Improvement.
Additionally, she has taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Delaware.
Colleen is presently involved with numerous organizations and societies, including the International
Reading Association, National Title VI Directors Steering Committee, Association of Supervision,
Curriculum and Development, Phi Delta Kappa, Society for Technology and Teacher Education, and
Association of Distance Learning Educators. She is also in the International WHO's WHO of
Informational Technology.
Colleen is on the Board of Directors for the Delaware Association School Administrators, Delaware
Association for Curriculum & Supervision, Delaware Teacher Center, and the Diamond State Reading
Association for which she is Vice-President, and has made many State and National presentations.
Colleen received her Bachelors of Education from the University of Delaware. She completed the
Curriculum and Instruction Masters Program at the University of Delaware, and is currently pursuing
a Masters in Reading. She has a Certificate in Distance Learning from Indiana University.
